Charged, not convicted 1

  • Charged, not convicted 26 April 2022
Tamil Nadu's Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption reported that it trapped and arrested a Sub-Inspector of Police of M. Reddiyapatti Police Station, Virudhunagar district, on 26 April 2022 while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 for not sending a report to the court to cancel the complainant's bail. This is an allegation: an arrest in a trap is not a conviction, and the officer is presumed innocent unless a court finds otherwise.
The entries above are allegations. An officer trapped by an anti-corruption agency is presumed innocent unless a court convicts; none of them is counted as a finding anywhere on this site.
