Tamil Nadu's Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption reported that it trapped and arrested a Two Special Sub-Inspectors of Police of Variety Hall Road Police Station, Coimbatore, Coimbatore district, on 9 March 2021 while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 1,700 for releasing a detained two-wheeler without registering a case. This is an allegation: an arrest in a trap is not a conviction, and the officer is presumed innocent unless a court finds otherwise.
The entries above are allegations. An officer trapped by an anti-corruption agency is presumed innocent unless a court convicts; none of them is counted as a finding anywhere on this site.
