Charged, not convicted 1

  • Charged, not convicted 5 April 2022
Tamil Nadu's Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption reported that it trapped and arrested a Deputy Superintendent of Police of District Crime Branch, Kanniyakumari, Kanyakumari district, on 5 April 2022 while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5,00,000 for settling a civil dispute. This is an allegation: an arrest in a trap is not a conviction, and the officer is presumed innocent unless a court finds otherwise.
The entries above are allegations. An officer trapped by an anti-corruption agency is presumed innocent unless a court convicts; none of them is counted as a finding anywhere on this site.
