ConcludedThe Delhi High Court upheld service punishment imposed on police personnel.
The judgment of the Delhi High Court records the following account. CISF Sub-Inspector (Executive) [name withheld] was arrested on 20.07.2015 in FIR No. 412/2015 alleging rape and criminal intimidation at Pooja Lodge, Chhindwara, while on leave from his Chhindwara posting. He was suspended, departmentally charged with pre-planned hotel booking tarnishing the force's image, producing an unauthorised identity card, and the criminal case itself, and removed from service on 26.03.2016. Though he was later acquitted in the criminal trial after the complainant turned hostile, the Delhi High Court held the disciplinary finding was one no reasonable person could fault, refused interference under Articles 226/227, and dismissed his writ petition. Matters not addressed in the cited judgment text are not recorded here.
