Indore company director prosecuted over 93 bulk litres of foreign liquor in car

The order records that a car was intercepted in Indore and that 93.390 bulk litres of foreign liquor in 283 bottles were seized. What happened

The High Court recorded that "A Skoda Car bearing Registration No.MP-09-WF-9721 was intercepted at 9:30PM on 22.09.2023" near a business-park crossing in Indore.

The High Court recorded that the "search of the car resulted into seizure of 93.390 bulk liters of foreign liquor" packed as "containing in 283 bottles each with 330ML capacity."

The High Court recorded that the driver disclosed the car belonged to a company and the prosecution alleged stock moved from the director's house toward a seed centre on her direction.

The order records no allegation of spurious or poisonous liquor, hooch deaths or violence; the only authenticity point was that "the seized liquor does not bear the Batch Number so the seized liquor cannot be authenticated."

The High Court ruled that "Consequently, the petition under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 is dismissed."
